SkyLink Vision
SkyLink Vision aims to revolutionise aerial surveillance and data analysis by integrating advanced 5G technology with uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) equipped with high-resolution cameras. Its primary goal is to enable real-time data transmission and AI-powered video analysis, shifting computational workloads from drones to ground-based systems to overcome limitations in drone power, weight, and processing capabilities. This approach enhances small drones' functionality and operational range, allowing them to perform complex tasks traditionally reserved for larger systems.
The project focuses on security surveillance, traffic management, and emergency response applications, using AI to detect and track vehicles and other targets. A user-friendly interface provides real-time insights to end-users, supporting quick and efficient decision-making. By leveraging low-latency 5G communication, SkyLink Vision demonstrates the feasibility of combining high-speed data transfer with sophisticated AI for various sectors, promoting smarter, safer, and more efficient operations, while controlling drones safely via 5G.
