5G-SAIIoT

i46 envisions a truly holistic authentication system for 5G-connected Industrial IoT, going beyond user-centric authentication to include device-to-device authentication. Our approach emphasises device legitimacy, ensuring only authorized devices can interact and exchange data among themselves and to the end-user. Authentication will be implemented on the: - device, guaranteeing device authenticity, - network, securing communication through the 5G network, - cloud, ensuring only authorized users can access resources. SoTA, literature-validated mechanisms will power this authentication system. Integrated into the i46 cloud, a user-friendly platform will allow users to define access policies and perform remote actions on devices. The project will enable i46 to develop new 5G-ready features, increasing market potential, while benefiting the entire ecosystem: by ensuring device legitimacy, 5G-SAIIoT contributes to lowering cyberattacks, boosting operational efficiency, promoting innovation.
