N-TourXP-5G will focus on two main use cases:

Augmented Tourism Experiences: Develop a 5G-based XR (extended reality) service to provide tourists with an improved and more engaging experience. This will include AR and VR applications to enhance the exploration of historical sites and cultural heritage, utilising novel AI content generation techniques. The experiences will be served on real mobile devices, including phones and VR devices, through the slo.travel web experiences.

Automated and Anonymised Tourist Personalisation: Use Machine Learning algorithms to automatically identify suitable tourism options for city tourists. Based on anonymized data such as preferences and travel history, the service will offer personalised recommendations and advertising options. This use case will leverage edge computing solutions to run AI applications for identifying and tailoring client-side experiences while guaranteeing total anonymization. Recommendations will be served cross-platform through the slo.travel AI assistant and validated through the Smart Tourism Management slo.travel backoffice.
