Connected Ambulance Safety with Computation and Advanced Deployment at the Edge

CASCAD-e (Connected Ambulance Safety with Computation and Advanced Deployment at the edge) is a collaborative project aiming to:

  • improve efficiency in answering time and first aid procedures in case of incidents requiring support by ambulances, by optimizing routes for ambulances during emergency services;
  • integrate a healthcare application (called wi.CARE+) with ENVELOPE’s APIs and enhance the CASCAD-e API gateway to manage information exchange between CASCAD-e and the APIs made available by ENVELOPE;
  • improve awareness for drivers when ambulances are providing emergency services;
  • ensure trustworthy data governance (including security, privacy and compliance with relevant standards and regulations);
  • validate the solution thanks to medical personnel and ambulance(s) (beneficiaries);
  • contribute to standardisation.

CASCAD-e will provide solutions to support Augmented Mobility to medical personnel in ambulances. The service is portable across the users’ device, mobile network or service area.
