Predictive maintenance for airline consortium using blockchain-based data sharing platform and  federated AI/ML orchestration

This use case focuses on the successful verification of modules such as cryptographic primitives and enablers for Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT), Zero Knowledge Proof (ZKP), post-quantum TLS, secure data exchange and access control and federated AI/ML. It will also leverage confidential containers with Kubernetes support. Multi-party AI/ML aspects will be verified as well, taking care of algorithm IPR protection and preventing data theft through algorithm certification and confidential computing capabilities on the edge. The use case will set up a testbed, initially based on Nokia’s Data Marketplace (NDM) platform deployed in the public cloud, which will be modified to include newly produced modules. Testing scenarios will be defined and implemented using the platform to a) securely exchange data sets and b) execute predictive maintenance algorithms. Execution will be traced on several layers to prove the confidentiality and privacy-preservation of the solution: (i) the DLT layer will be traced for private transactions, including data monetisation and access control permissions. It will also be outlined for Smart Contract execution to prove their privacy; (ii) the network communication layer will be traced for execution of quantum-safe TLS encryption; (ii) the application service layer will be traced to prove functionalities of federated AI/ML orchestration and execution on edge in confidential containers. The goal is to achieve predictive maintenance of a multi-party AI/ML analytics platform with proven and attestable privacy-preservation guarantees.
